Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It is a catalyst for wider rail transformation underway across the South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD, with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street. The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also tasked with multiple supporting projects and activities, including accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, upgrades for stabling yards, track works and surface rail enhancements, and the introduction of a new world-class digital train signalling system.

About the Role:
The Digital Engineering team works at the cutting edge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology in Queensland, providing a crucial role in shaping the Delivery Authority’s strategy, which is responsible for all things digital engineering as we move towards completion of this generational project. This team has a focus on addressing technical challenges using digital solutions with a focus on assurance, operational readiness, testing and commissioning, training and familiarisation, operations, and maintenance.
The BIM & CAD Technician is responsible for the implementation, coordination, operation, creation and maintenance of the BIM Model and CAD datasets for the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA).

The BIM and CAD Technician role sites within the Digital Engineering team at the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (Delivery Authority). The position reports to the Manager, Digital Services, and works within the BIM team, working closely with the GIS and 3D visualisation teams.
